Will I ever get it right.

Monday, January 21, 2008

I been a mom for 5 and a half years and I still don't have it down pat yet, how do those other mom's that seem to be super moms do it. I guess it doesen't help that I am a single mommy. My oldest is 5 and she seems to be going through something I don't understand and I wish I could but I am afraid of messing up and pushing my kids away and she is only 5years old my oldest that is. Anyway I dont know I guess its just on my mind a lot I dont want to be a failure. Everyone says I am doing a great job but am I ,I wonder. Anyway I think being accountable to the sparkle people community is going to help me a great deal. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement it feels good to be wanted.

There is no such thing as a super-mom. WE all have our secret fears about not doing right by the kids, but as long as they feel the love it'll all magically work itself out. Hang in there. It does get easier.

You know..I struggle with this too. I am a first time mom and soon to be a single parent. Sometime I look at my son and think .."I really don't want to mess this kid up." But I realize that the choices and decisions I make for myself affect him. That's one reason that I've decided to take control of my lifestyle and eating. I want to be around to live a good life with him. I want to be a good example for him. That is all that we can do. You are setting a good example for your children. They will start to see the positive changes that you are making and it will have better habits because of them. Although you are just getting started here, keep up the good work. I am here if you need me!
