Things I'm Grateful For Today

Today I am grateful for all of the programs and foods that are available to those of us who want to do something about changing to a healthy lifestyle.
When I first started out trying to lose weight (many eons ago), the main program available was Weight Watchers. I date back to the time when you had to make your own ketchup in WW! And you had to eat liver once a week. Also, I remember the strangest thing about that program -- we could chew all of the sugar-laden gum we wanted -- day and night non-stop if we so desired. We might have lost weight, but we had to increase our visits to the dentist. Wow -- have we come a long way!
I am very thankful for the Sparkpeople program and to think, it's free! It is free to us, but not without cost to a man with a generous heart. We should all be very grateful for that.
I'm also thankful for the other Spark members who are encouraging and inspiring. The definition of a friend as "one with whom you dare to be yourself" is so applicable to fellow Sparkpeople.
And the foods that are now available to us are mind-boggling. It's like going on a treasure hunt each time I go to the grocery store or check out recipes at the Spark recipe link.
Each of us is without excuse. Whether we're on a limited budget or not, we can still find a way to eat healthy and exercise properly.
