Breast Cancer 3-Day

Well.....I did it. It has always been my dream to be able to walk the Breast Cancer 3-Day. It is 60 miles in 3 days and I signed up on Wednesday. I had no intention of doing it this year but I saw it advertised on TV and went on-line to check it out. It just so happened that the only informational session in NH (Where I live, the walk is in Boston) was the next day. I figured it was fate so off I went! By the time I left I had signed up and paid $100 to register and pledged to raise $2,200 to participate. HOLY TOLEDO!!!!!! I have to say I am really nervous about raising that amount of money on my own, but they say the money comes in because it is a cause very close to people. We'll see, I guess!!!!

I set up my personal page with a link to make donations and I spent hours entering e-mail addresses to send out letters to tons of people I know. I am also getting tons of great ideas from my spark friends on the 3 teams I belong to. If it wasn't for spark, I know I never would have attempted this.

It means so much to me, after losing my grandmother to the disease and almost losing my mom. I am so excited but so scared at the same time. I WILL finish that walk even if I have to crawl across the line!!!!!

I had another fabulous week of exercsing and eating and lost 1.6.
