First Backslide-Live and LEARN

UHG! I knew it would happen and I did it anyway...I had some wine in the evening and of course I lost control and snacked on bad stuff late in the evening. Live and learn I guess, not planning to do that again anytime soon. I used to be a regular wine drinker (I live in wine country) and decided to give it up for the new year, but when hubby went to the grocery store (I was laid up post surg) he decided to treat me and bought a couple of bottles (guess I should have told him I was off it sooner) and I caved. There is still another bottle in the pantry, maybe I will cook with it lol!

    :::nods::: awhile back dh brought home pizza for a treat.... and it triggered several days of over-eating for me. i asked him why, was he trying to sabotage me? no, he said.... he just wanted some. got me to thinking that i changed how i was eating but he wasn't willing to or ready to, and he had lost his eating buddy.... so, we made a few compromises/plans to deal with it.... essentially i don't do well with *never can have it again* kind of rules and instead am trying to make eating and exercising an adventure and find ways to eat & exercise that i like, can do , will do, etc... so planning in when it's ok to indulge and participate in life with people/celebrations is part of that for me... don't have to gorge myself and over-eat but i can plan it in as part of my daily calories that i spend. and more again tomorrow if i want it... anyway, try to get a good nights sleep & tomorrow, hope you're feeling better & back on your feet!

    We all have those days!! It's okay to indulge once in a while. Just make sure that you prepare yourself for it. Make sure that you have some calories to spare so you can enjoy that one or two glasses of wine once per week. This is a lifestyle change.....everything in moderation!!
