Running plans

It's been almost two months since my last race and I really miss it. I've been looking at available races coming up and trying to formulate some running plans. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish this year running wise.

My biggest goal is to run a marathon this year. This seems like such a huge feat to me right now, but I remind myself that so did running a half marathon and I proved to myself that I can do that. When I started running again last year I started off doing 2.5 miles at a time. Never would I have imagined that someday I would be able to run 13 miles. So I suppose with determination and training I will be able to achieve my marathon goal this year.

YMCA Peterborough 1/2- February 24
Uxbridge Auxillary 1/2-April 27
Mississauga Marathon-May 10
Milk Run 10K-July
Durham 1/4-July
Port Perry 1/2-Sept.
Terry Fox 10K-Sept.
Toronto Scotia Bank 1/2 Sept.28
Niagara Falls Marathon-Oct.

    WOW! That is an impressive schedule! Way to go! :-) I am just starting, and I have "only" four 5Ks scheduled so far... You so inspire me! :-)
