Reflections and Goals

Tuesday, January 01, 2008

I'm excited that for the first time in about 7 years I won't have "lose weight" as one of my New Year's Resolutions and I hope to never see it on my list again! What a great way to start the new year off, with only fitness goals in mind rather than still trying to reach a specific number on the scale. I'm impressed with all that I accomplished over the last year. I graduated university, ran in numerous races including two half marathons, reached my goal weight and truly made this into a lifestyle instead of a diet.

The only resolution I really have this year is to get more organized, in every area of my life. I do have goals though and I'm looking forward to trying to reach them over the next year.

2008 Goals

Run a marathon
Run the same races as last year and improve my times
Take 10 minutes off my 1/2 marathon time
Run 1,200 miles
Continue to lift weights, build more muscle and get stronger. I want to be really ripped.
Eat clean

Non Fitness Related:
Make more time to read
Be more patient and accepting of change

Great goals, Sarah! Kick arse meeting them!
I have to say I second your Non-Fitness related goals....I've got a pile of books beside the bed calling my name and I don't have a whole heck of a lot of patience sometimes especially for change...
I'm hankering for a half, but not sure if it will come to pass this Summer...
    Take care, Happy New Year!
