P is for parts

Parts of my life are crazy. I lost the job, which I started and at first I was devistated. And I don't drink but thought about it for a few minutes, but went to the store and got chips and three kinds of dips. It lasted for a few days anyway. I liked the software that I was working with but not the people, and the way that they were doing things, so I would have been fooling myself, and would have hung on. I wrote a letter to an eval and I asked for some things. I'm glad that i asked, and doubt if I will get what I asked for.

Even though it's December, I am starting over. I bought chicken breasts, veggies and fruit, now what could be better than that, and I went swimming yesterday. Goals? Watch how I interact with food and eat one piece of popcorn or peanuts at a time. I've noticed that I chew my food, but don't swallow it until I put another piece into my mouth. That needs to change. Acknowledging the bite of food that I'm placing into my mouth and asking that it be there only to provide nurishment not to absorb some of the emotional eating and other crap. Smile at it before I place it into my mouth.

Went swimming yesterday, pool was crowded. People are trying to swim there like it is a big pool and it isn't designed for the type of activity that they are trying to do. Scuba training for kids, laps for the adults. And then they close the pool in the afternoon.
Take care, ok, and have a good week.
