Geesh- I haven't blogged in forever! My mom had her open heart surgery and although it was really scary she made it through fine. She spent a few days in intensive care where they made sure her body accepted the new valve and everything was working okay. She is at home now and my dad is taking great care of her. She can't be left alone yet so I try and go over and bring them their paper and mail and groceries. It has been really stressful but also good that she will feel better. The surgeon said her valve was completely worn out. She is really lucky she didn't have a heart attack on the treadmill the way she was pushing herself to exercise. She also doesn't have an appetite so we are trying to get her to eat more. I wish I had that problem!!!!

I have managed to take care of myself through this whole ordeal which is a miracle. I haven't turned to food and I've continued to lose weight. I haven't taken the time to exercise but that's okay. It will come. I am down to 202.6 and man do I want to get below 200!!!!!

The absolute best thing in the whole world is that Carrie is here visiting. I needed a break from all the stress! It is so weird that it isn't weird to have her here, if that makes sense! It is like we have known each other forever and it is totally normal having her around. I'll make sure and blog more when our visit is over so I can tell you all about it!

Thanks for all the support from my wonderful spark friends!

Patty - So glad your mom came through her surgery ok. I hope her recovery continues to go well. It is kinda scary when you learn things like that about her valve after the fact, huh? That is so cool that you and Carrie are meshing well... I didn't have any doubts.. you both have adorable personalities. I'm excited for you hitting the 200 lb and under mark! Keep up the great work!
