Crazy busy......

Saturday, October 27, 2007

I had a ton of running around to do today, post office, craft store, walmart, supermarket, ect.. Walmart and the supermarket were extra crazy today people were going nuts trying to get their orders/supplies for the game tonight. Ok, I get alot of slack because I don't care much for Red socks or Patriots (My son calls me unamerican). Oh well not my thing, don't like sports and to be honest it is a quality I love about my husband too (that he wasn't obcessed with sports) . Although I found myself getting in that festive mood from the vibes of the people (more like the mood you should be celebrating its OK to indulge). They were ordering platters, stuffing carts with chips, dips, cases of beer and wine . Happy, Happy, Happy, I want some HAPPY, Mmmmm maybe I'll get some wine today. Well it's at least 220 calories a glass and Chrissy you know you wont just have one glass (I'm not a "ONE" type of anything person, especially alcohol) plus I am going out next week and will be drinking .....OK, I'll pass. I'll make some popcorn and hubby and I will watch Hostel 2 tonight. hehehe, Yup I/we do like our movie night. I think it was just all the pumped up happy energy around here because of the game that made me think and feel it's OK to indulge, everyone is, see look at all their baskets. lol

I did buy some mini bags of popcorn and some mini gram crackers for Halloween ,so I'm set there to pass out some goodies to the house. I'm giving myself permission to indulge on certain days. Like next sat. hubby and I are going to a party (I will drink bacardi and diet coke ) thats the only time I ever drink soda. I also said we will go out to eat, not sure where yet. Also Thanksgiving, Anniversary, Christmas, days like that I will have a desert and perhaps drink if I want. The thing is I'm giving myself permission ahead of time so I don't feel guilt if I choose to have something that is off my normal meal plan, that is ok.

Have a Great weekend!

I love your approach to it. You are thinking ahead of time about when it is okay to indulge and asking yourself is it worth it. I understand the whole watching other people "eat, drink, and be merry" makes me want to "eat, drink, and be merry". I know I am going out Wednesday night so I am going to try to be really good all week!

Oh and just because you arent a sports fanatic does NOT mean you are un-American!

It is hard when you see everyone else indulging in those yummy chips & stuff.. but I used to be that way.. and never lost any weight.. so its easier to say 'no thanks'. Not that I don't still have some now & again.. just won't sit down & eat the whole bag! Popcorn.. now thats good.. air popped & no (or very little) butter. Hope you enjoy your movie!

Chrissy, I am so not into sports either, i'll watch the occasional game here and there but thats it. Problem my hubby does have his teams that he likes to watch for football and baseball and he does like Nascar (rolling eyes) but usually goes off and watches them by himself or will go online and find out all the details.

I know what you mean about the people on weekends buying all that junk and hyped up for the games, Reading your post made me want to go out and buy all that junkfood! Good for you for not doing so. And WTG @ talking yourself out of the wine and being happy with popcorn, a movie and hubby! Also WTG @ getting the mini bags of popcorn & gram crackers for halloween!

I totally agree with treating yourself once in a while and I will definitely do the same. Its just wrong not to :-)

    Enjoy your movie!

    Hugs Suz
