My Best Friends Wedding: Part II
Saturday, October 13, 2007
I went with Jonelle this evening after work to pick up her wedding gown. It's absolutely beautiful and she looked stunning! I must add though, (and I mean no offense to anyone if they have ever worked for Davids Bridal) I would never purchase anything from there. Nobody showed us where to go to pick up her dress, nobody offered to help her put it on, they practically vacuumed right around us, left us to put the gown back into the preservation bag on our own, etc. Then, they forgot to give her the jewelery she purchased. Jonelle's daughter (9) Taylor was there too, fumbling with her dress on her own too. At least I was there to help.
I guess I'm just really tired.
I was married once and got my dress from a very old bridal salon in Pittsburgh and they were amazing to me. Really treated me like a princess. That's how a bride to be should be treated. I am just stunned at how inappropriately we were treated. Am I wrong? I wasn't mean or ungrateful towards anyone there but I guess my version of a bridal salon is something with a little more class than a place that makes you walk around by yourself to find what you need. No help was offered. It kinda sucked. At least her dress is paid in full and she doesn't have to do that again.
Thanks again for listening to me rant.
