Slimcado...a food review.

soooooo...we had this avocado laying around. Perfectly ripe, bought it monday. Told DH we needed to do something with it, so he made up some guacamole (I know, uninspired..it just needed to get used!)
Well anyway, this isn't any ordinary avocado, it was a slimcado I picked up almost on accident (I knew what I was buying, but I picked it up before noticing the sticker, I just saw they were on sale and I like avocados.). So a slimcado has 50% less fat and 35% less calories than a Haas avocado. Something like that. So I read some decidedly negative reviews on it this afternoon. i'm going to have to agree that it has about 100% less taste than a normal avocado and it is significantly more runny. I won't say watery like some did, it's not, but it's a much thinner consistency. The guac tasted good, but I give more credit to DH's guac skills than it's constituent avocado. I would recommend avoiding the slimcado if you find yourself at the grocery store. The Haas avocado is full of good fats and omega 3 fatty acids and tastes a hell of a lot...more.
