Life After the Holiday Weekend

09/04/07: Unfortunately, it seemed like I switched into my old habits during this weekend, even though I've been using Sparkpeople tools all of this year! That was pretty discouraging. I was prepared today to just keep right on stuffing down sweets, etc. - I didn't feel motivated to get back to my tracking and healthy foods. Then I saw how many responses and messages I had received on the Message Board and in my Spark Mail. There was lots of encouragement in those messages, and compliments on how I have done well this year. Those messages from friends, including Kathy all the way over in Ukraine, changed the course of my day! I'm not letting everyone else, or myself, down. I kept my course away from the snack box, and I'm not stopping at a fast food restaurant (ugh) on my way home from work. It's back to the healthy pathway from the moment I read those messages. Now I understand another aspect of why Sparkpeople works!
