Well I think that I finally got my mind right. Normally after three weeks of eating healthy and exercising, I would find myself losing steam. I was cognizant of that fact this time around and made a conscience effort to stay the course. I remained mindful of everything that I placed in my mouth. I made sure not to deprive myself of anything I wanted within reason. The only time that I was tempted was this week because of TOM. I know that this is a lifestyle change and my efforts now are those that I must be able to continue for life. Got my mind right ya'll!
This old mouth of mine has adapted to some changes 'round here. In the past if I had two glasses of water in a months time I was doing well. Now all I drink is water and 1% milk; this has been going on for the past three weeks now. I try to stay away from processed foods and eat more veggies, fruits and lean meats. As I mentioned above, because of TOM I've been tempted to eat a few sweets but nothing serious. I'm loving myself some LaraBars! They will be my new treat as one of my snacks with a glass of milk each day; I also love the fact that each bar counts as a fruit serving.
Each day I attempt to have two dairy servings, five fruit/veggie servings, lean meats and whole wheat items. I have a journal that I log my food in and check off the servings as I have them. At first I was having trouble meeting my minimum calories and didn't want to eat just anything to make up the difference. So teeth, tongue and lips I thank you from the bottom of my stomach.
I have been movin' it to lose it this month. I set a goal to walk 45 miles this month and I've been successful...walked a total of 45.7 miles!!! I've even given the elliptical a try twice, this month. Each time I've remained on it for 35 minutes just doing it manually. I also had a few dates with Billy and his TAE-Bo crew. Each day when I go out for my walk it seems as if I'm going off to war because I have to strap on my Polar F6 HRM and my ipod nano and then I'm 'rit ta go. Muscles, bones and feet don't fail me now!
