Planning Meals

The girls are working right now, but I decided to go back home and go shopping on the way. I found that the Martha Stewart Food magazine is the best I have ever subscribed to. All the meals have very few ingredients, I can leave the meat out very easily and substitute with something else, and I usually have all the stuff in the house, but would have never thought to put it in a meal together. Tonight I plucked fresh yellow squash and green zucchini from the garden, and followed her recipe for a cheese cream sauce with garlic and pasta. May sound too fattening, but we all run around so much, and I know the girls will be pooped after juggling with dogs for 5 hours, that they can use the extra bit. I also made some blondies with chocolate chips for dessert. I will make a plan of what to make and prepare from the Food magazines I have stashed in the kitchen for next week. I might need to go shopping once more for some extra ingredients, but that is about it. Quick, easy and delicious... gosh, I sound like I am on a commercial, hahah.

    Planning your meals ahead of time is always a good idea, it may save you a lot of money in the end, too, if you choose recipes with similar ingredients.
    I always plan the whole week ahead and go shopping accordingly. It saves a lot of time and money... and I always know that I'm in my calorie range.
