Rough couple of weeks

Well, God keeps me very humble. I've had some very sick cats to deal with. I have a lot of cats so that's to be expected when flu/cold/allergy season hits but I had one old gentle-puss that had to be put to sleep this past week. Tom came to us just back in March/April. He was going to be euthanised if he didn't find a home so I took him in. He didn't do or say a whole lot but he had one heck of a booming purr. I'd be in the sun room with him, sewing, and I'd hear this airplane. I'd look around only to find it was really Tom purring! He had acute kidney disease and went down hill quickly. I didn't even see it coming.
On top of it all, I cracked the fibula in my right leg. My darling husband (and I use the term loosely) left one of his big contractor extension cords in the yard. It was dew-wet and I slipped on it with my left foot but my right foot dug in and I twisted around it somehow and that's how I cracked the bone, twisting as I went down. I laid there and howled. It aches like a tooth ache and the pain meds they gave me had a reverse effect by keeping me up at night. So now I have this aching leg that there is nothing they can do about, and I'm dog tired because I haven't slept much in the last week. The house is a mess and I'm wondering how I'm going to clean it. Stop thinking my husband is going to be much help because he isn't although he tries.
The biggest thing that upsets me is that I am very, VERY limited on what exercises I can do. The doctor said no recubant stationary bike (drats!) and walking hurts a lot. I could swim! (if I had a pool!) I could swim in the pond if hubby had maintained it (we won't go there, literaly). Even laying on the floor mat and doing leg lifts with that leg pulls on the muscles that attach to the fibula and hurt.
Keep me in your prayers!
