Mercy, Peace and Love – Day 10
Thursday, July 22, 2021
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
God’s word says that we are to be kind toward one another with a godly love, that is, His unconditional love. He desires that we diligently and fervently serve Him in the Holy Spirit. We are to rejoice in faith, which is the substance of the things that we hope for, and is the evidence of the things that we cannot see.
Tribulations will come, but we will be victorious through Christ who strengthens us. Rather than be lured into the tempting traps of the devil, we must bless those who persecute us and not curse them. We must pray for our enemies. God’s ways are not man’s ways.
Paul leaves us with, “Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen” (Romans 15:33). If we desire the peace of God, we must draw near to Him, and He will draw near to us (James 4:8). His peace come from walking in His promises, and in His love!
