A Season for Flowers - 6-16-21

It's a wonderful time of year - we still have the bright spring green colors, and the flowers are blooming!
Cyndi Marlowe found the bright blue columbine, and also found a patch of mules ears blooming by a fence:
And got close enough to catch the dew on this flower:
Jeff Hall also got beautiful photos, both of a columbine:
and of this stunning pink rose:
Neighbors strolling by have been stopping to compliment our flowerbed, which looks better this year than it ever has before. We have a columbine in blue, yellow, and pink blooming, alongside a yellow iris, purple salvia, orange snapdragons, bright blue delphinium, orange and yellow gerbera daisies, deep purple petunias, and blue and purple lupine. It is a riot of color right now, and we have a bright orange poppy that is about to burst into bloom to add to the color! I need to get out there and dig out the weeds that have crept up through the mulch, but we're having record-breaking temperatures this week. Figured I could wait until things cool off a little before tackling them!
