Spark / Friends / Irene / Health / Heart / Future

Hello Spark Friends,

Before time gets away from me and Spark shuts down, I'd like to just say emoticon to all the wonderful friends I have met here on this wonderful site.

I was first invited by my very good friend Yvonne when Best Life was making changes.

This all happened as my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and I brought her home to live with me. The comfort I felt every night (after work and caring for my mom) on was what kept me going every day. Mom passed within 4 months.

At that time it was funny that our beloved IRENE came into my life.

This was taken at Cracker Barrel on her last Birthday. I was invited by her and her pastor. Yes, I brought her the flowers!

What can I say about Irene - wow! She started to sound like my mom, she would say, listen to me, I'm you mom!! When she would talk about my weight, eating habits, mood etc. Did God send her to me just in time or what? I had hit rock bottom when my mom passed. emoticon But she was there just when I needed her.

We became good friends, met for lunch / her house etc. I believe we communicated every day.

I was there by her side till her last breath - Oh how I miss her everyday.

Irene brought many of us together.

John, is another wonderful friend that surprised me. He said he had a big surprise for me on our Team. Well somehow Irene had crossed his path too and realizing we knew each other, he invited her to our team!!! Oh my goodness, how many teams did she belong to? And so many blogs!!!

So many friends have crossed my path as I mentioned since I joined Spark. My local team has met in person (due to Irene), I text friends from all over the world, Spark friends on Facebook.

So - Spark - YOU can not break the relationships that you have built. We have built little communities thru Facebook and will continue to communicate, support and lift each other as we always have.

Health - Oh the ups and downs of our weight gain - emoticon emoticon
We have to keep trying.

emoticon Heart
Last week I went to the ER with severe chest pains. I was told it could have been possible mild heart attack / acute angina. I was in the hospital for 2 days and still not my self.

My cardiologist has restricted me from what I like to do everyday (even though it's hard work), gardening. That's where I get most of my exercise every day. Now I'm getting 3,XXX - 4,XXX steps or so a day. That's ok for now - I'm listening to the doctors.

I am scheduled for a Lexiscan on the 21st. One of the Cardiologist (my cousin) called yesterday and said that they may skip the Lexiscan and perform a Catheterization. emoticon Yes, I'm scared. He believes that there might be some blockage in the Artery behind the heart. Please keep me in your prayers.

So now I wait for their next phone call.

Since I can't garden, I have been trying to get things in order in the house.
Pet instructions / laundry kept up / cleaning never ends with my pets

I started back teaching my music lessons t emoticon this last Saturday. Things happen for a reason - many of my students are taking their vacations this month! I teach kids from all over the world.

So in closing, I again want to thank all of you for your wonderful friendship throughout these years. If your not in a Facebook group, please join one, don't loose touch.

My facebook name is: Marcy Rodriguez
If you ask for invite, please mention this Blog or Spark - or I'll ignore!!

Be well, Be safe, God speed,

I remember seeing the RGV team yrs. ago and thought I would join as I am also a RGV winter Texan. I got to meet the people on the team through Irene. What a wonderful lady. I have enjoyed all our conversations and working together.
You do need to keep up with your Cardiologist so you can live a long, pain free life and we can continue to chat throughout the change over and the future. I hope I can see all my friends of which I enjoy so much. SP has brought so many people into our lives and that we can thank them for. So it onward and upward.
My prayers are going to you on a frequent basis, Marcy. Hugs and love in friendship. See you on FB!

I have wonderful memories of Irene and I loved it that she said things as they are, no pretense. She perrked me up many times and I was so grateful for her friendship.

Marcy, you and I have been friends on face book for a long time too. And though I don't make comments or even click 'like' on most people's things, it doesn't mean I'm not looking at them. I love to see the birds in your yard, you are so fortunate to be so close to all that mother nature offers us. Beautiful photos, all of them.

I'm in a group on face book that my co-leader of my team made, she wants to keep it small so we can really all chat still, when SP shuts their doors on us.

I'm sorry to hear about you having something going on with your heart but the good doctors will take care of it. I've had a heart attack, small stroke and a heart bypass done twice to unplug arteries, I know I was well taken care of and look how old I am now, still going strong too! emoticon

Thank you for being my friend on here and I'm glad we're friends on face book, so we'll never lose touch. Take good care of yourself. There IS a life after Sparks!
    Hugs, Gloria

Take care and listen to your medical team. I know about heart problems/difficulties an how they change your life and what you do. I met you through Irene too and like you, considered her a “mother” figure with advice, encouragement and so much more. I know I was so grateful for your updates when she finally quit posting blogs. I know she always included everyone in her prayers.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers our way. (((HUGS)))
