I wanted to do one last blog on Sparkpeople just to kind of finish things up and to let everyone know where I'm at and how to find me on my new website and where I'm at with things right now in case anyone didn't know. Well, I've been losing a lot of weight lately. Since my grandpa died my emotional eating seems to have really stopped. Caring for him and the stress of his dementia was taking a lot of an emotional toll on me for a long time so knowing he was in a better place was a lot of a relief for me. Also having a lot of progress on my new apartment has made things a lot easier for me. Having my own kitchen and living room and Fritzy having his own room has made things a lot easier for us. I recently put down two yoga mats in my apartment and have set up a meditation area and all of that has been really good mentally for both me and Fritzy (the cat enjoys it, too). Here's some pictures of what the whole thing looks like right now: Obviously my apartment isn't finished yet. They are still building it. But it's come along to the point now that we are at least able to start decorating it and using it a little bit so that is really nice for us.

Anyway, so I have almost lost all the weight that I had regained. I have been so much more active since I have started using this inhaler. I have been able to get up to 6,000 steps per day instead of less than 2,000 which was what I was getting when my ribs were really in bad shape. I had been able to get 31,000 steps per day when I was in better shape so that's something to work towards I guess. I'd like to see myself getting at least 12,000 steps per day, which looks really doable at this point. I am able to work out in my apartment now which is so much better for me. There's enough space to work out which was always an issue for me before. So not having any obstacles to working out definitely makes it so much easier to do. Having workout clothes and the available space and having Fitbit Premium so always having plenty of workout videos available just makes all the resources right there available for me.

I also have my refrigerators, freezers, and pantries right there for me in my own kitchen so eating healthy is no longer an obstacle whatsoever. That definitely makes things a lot easier for me as well. I have plenty of space and my cooking supplies are well organized now with plenty of space for everything. It's amazing how not having any obstacles in your healthy journey just makes losing weight so much easier. And not having constant temptations in front of you makes eating healthy a lot easier, too. Fritzy's snacks and treats are a lot less of a temptation because I know they are his. But the family's treats and snacks are more of a temptation to me for some reason. I'm not sure why. Maybe because my grandma is always trying to push them on me. But not being around them all the time just makes it a lot easier for me. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess.

I'm also much less stressed because Fritzy and I have a place to sit and relax and talk (our living room) by ourselves. Not that we don't like sitting and socializing with the family and we still do that, but it's nice for us to have a place to just relax by ourselves and have some family time of our own. I really miss him being away from him half the time and like to catch up with him after a while away from him and spend some quality time with him and this makes it so much easier to do that. It's nice to see him feeling safe and relaxed, too. It's also just really fun decorating in my own style. I like enjoying my grandma's decorating and such, but decorating in my own style is a lot of fun as my grandma and I (as she says) have very different decorating styles.

So things are going well in my health journey right now and I am kind of moving into the next phase now even though Sparkpeople is closing. I am using my own personal website to blog now and that is where I can be followed. The site is https://ciaramblecka.wixsite.c
