So long and thanks for the fish

As SP gets ready to change over to their new platform so many of us are looking back at our journey here, I'm right along there with you.
The day I started here I was 312 pounds and couldn't take it anymore. It wasn't the tools that kept me going here it was the people. We celebrated each others successes, were cheerleaders when we needed a push.
When my then pregnant daughter widowed the support on this page was incredible, it really did help me get through that first year. When she had her twins my focus turned to being a role model for them and you put up with my endless photos of them.
What you thought there wouldn't be one more?
When we got the news a couple of days ago I whined like a lot of other people but then I realized, it wasn't the website that lost the weight, it wasn't the website that ran her first Spartan Race at 52. It wasn't the website that just took 30 minutes off of her 10K hike today. It wasn't the website that announced last week she'd be running her first half marathon in the fall.
I have decided to look at this as a great time to refresh. I closed my old account at MFP and started a new one, I'm really excited about doing this. I am not quite so excited about deciding to cut 4 inches off my hair today. Hair grows, hair grows, hair grows.
So in the immortal words of The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy,
So long and thanks for the fish.
