Feeling a little bleary-eyed...just finished another CalPERS class. This one was a lot more useful...the first one was mostly about how to calculate when to retire, which I'd already done, but this one actually walked you through the application. 155 days till retirement! It's really starting to feel real, though it probably won't truly hit me till I actually submit the application (which I can't do till 4 months out).
Got another good bike ride in this morning, 15 miles! A little gusty out, but for the most part the wind seemed to be at my back, somehow. I'll take it! But I was seriously hungry by the time I got back home. I hate when that happens - you'd think it would happen more, since I always go exercise before breakfast during the week, but usually it doesn't get me till the end of the workout.
Jamie had a friend over yesterday afternoon, they spent the whole time out in the back yard chatting. They had textbooks open, but as far as I could tell there wasn't a lot of studying going on.
He's got three AP exams coming up over the next couple weeks, so he's been pretty stressed and I was glad he got to relax for a while yesterday.
Otherwise, just keeping the household going (Paul is off on vacation till Saturday evening), enjoying the quiet work period while it lasts, and kind of enjoying the hot weather. It's "only" supposed to hit 90 today, not quite as hot.
Well, back to work I go. Happy almost-Friday!
