Springsteen Through the Ages

Wednesday, May 12, 2021

So, I had a bit of a mind-blower this morning....Jamie and I were listening to "Born in the USA" on the way to school today, since he recently discovered Bruce Springsteen. I remembered that it came out when I was in high school, so I had him google exactly when. Well, it was June 1984...which would have been the end of my junior year...which is EXACTLY where Jamie is now!

I took an hour off yesterday afternoon to run a bunch of errands, such a relief to cross those off my list! Dropped off a couple things at the dry cleaners, picked up some stuff at Target, and picked up a couple prescriptions at Safeway. I love crossing off!

Though it was WICKED hot - 93! Crazy weather this week...we went from crazy windy to crazy hot within like a day.

I walked this morning, absolutely beautiful summer morning, nice and cool. I thought my legs would be tired from the long bike ride yesterday - they sure were tired all day yesterday! - but it was fine. I guess I'm in pretty good shape, because even if my legs are tired the rest of the day from a long walk or ride, I rarely feel it the next day.

I've been tracking my eating on the Lose It app (free) this week...I detest tracking, but I feel like I need to do it again to get myself back on track.

Well, it's about time to go pick up Jamie from school so I'd better scoot. Happy Wednesday!

Yeah, the music of my childhood can now be heard as Musak in grocery stores and elevators! Makes me laugh.

Time flies. I'm impressed your kids can relate to Springsteen. It's even worse for me and the bands of the 70's.
