A busy but wonderful weekend is now past and Monday's reminder
to get back to a routine. Lovely message and sermon at church, then
home to make lunch as MIL was coming. First time for her to be out
of the care center. We weren't sure she hadn't changed her mind about
coming but she came and seemed to enjoy herself. We had barbecued
ribs, mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered asparagus and cooked carrots-
all of her favorites. She mentioned the chocolate malt that she had on
Saturday and how it had upset her stomach. She is lactose intolerant
and shouldn't have eaten it but did anyway. We made sure she had
fresh tea to drink. I served her cooked carrots but not out of a can. I
hope she didn't have any issues last night. I am never sure what will
give her indigestion.
The neighbor mowed his lawn so we had grass clippings to go into the
garden. It looks like we will need to start hoeing soon but it is still too
cold in the mornings to think about putting out the bedding plants.
DD gave me 2 hanging baskets for the front yard. I brought them up on
the porch last night. Didn't know if we would have frost but not taking
Sister-in-law stayed with us this weekend, sleeping on the couch and so I
didn't spend much time on SP. We are also dog sitting the German
Shepherd and her kennel takes up space in the living room. Today we
go back to less clutter and maybe a little less activity but made good memories.
Enjoy your Monday!
