I received this trophy from SP and I'm also really close to my 400kms (which I'll achieve today for sure) for the CN Cycle for CHEO (a fundraiser for kids with cancer).
I am doing things slightly differently this month. While I still measured and weighed in - that's not going to be my focus. I'm shifting my focus to better planning and more mindfulness. I created this one week activity planner and I'm going to print it and work it like it was appointments I was keeping with myself.
I finished Phase 3 of the Metabolic Renewal Program and start Phase 4 on Monday and I'll be ending it before the end of this month.
So I'm adding in some stuff to push myself a bit harder now that I've been consistently doing these workouts for 9 weeks.
My walks can go longer as my pain is decreasing. The extra weight definitely bears on my joints so losing weight is about feeling better and being healthier.
I'm working on toning up as well and like to share weekly "Flex Friday" photos not so much for anyone but myself - as it then comes up in my memories on FB and I see how far I've come.
Here was yesterday's photo:
This is me at about 203lbs - this morning I was at 201lbs. One of the BIG shifts this month is about my SELF talk. I have been telling people "It's so hard to get under 200lbs" and if you know or believe in the Law of Attraction - this is NOT what I should be saying. So I'm back to this Daily Affirmation video for health and weight loss - to re-program my mind. Here's the link if you want to check it out: youtu.be/1Ou29GB
I'm taking things one day at a time in all areas of my life. There may be some changes coming up for me... I had one interview last week and I have one on Monday so it may be a career change or promotion for me.
Today I'm visiting with my daughters (I always make sure to see my 20 year old at least 2x a week as she is the one with severe mental health issues). I am also going to help a friend do some de-cluttering. Then I have the evening to myself as my hubby is gone to camp for the night to get some nice rocks to do the edging around a lamppost and flower bed I want to add to our yard. He just built me these garden boxes too. Gardening is a great hobby that I'm really enjoying.
This month is also going to be the month I celebrate or achieve 11 months AF. I'm so thrilled about finally doing this after years of trying. Every step of my journey was necessary though to bring me here and I'm grateful for all of the lessons I've learned. I'm also thinking about doing an outline for a book and/or a program with my coaching services.
When you take care of your body, it helps your mind and in turn you can accomplish so much more! Our health is our greatest wealth - so let's keep on Sparking to make the month of May a healthy & active one!
