Not spending the childrens inheritance
Sunday, April 18, 2021
We went to an auction sale yesterday and snagged 2 cups of coffee
and nothing else. There was enough there to keep 2 auctioneers in
business until dark. I am sure the family added items to the sale but
we also heard the farmer had been a great collector of memorabilia
and that made sense. We found our way home and then moved the
older chicks from the barn here to the farm, spent time cleaning out
junk to be hauled away at city clean up day Monday. It is to be warm
today so we will clean the barn.
Visited with MIL in the afternoon. She gets out of isolation by Friday
and will be moved to a new room-"no extra furniture, no second bed
or table and no roommate". We cannot promise her it will be a private
room but she insists "it has to be". Patiently explained the care center
will do everything they can to make her comfortable. She ate her 2
tablespoons of sauerkraut and 2 bites of sandwich and said she was
full. It took most of 30 minutes to convince her to finish 1/4 of the beef
stew. She won't get to go home if she isn't eating more than that and
she has plenty of reasons why she can't. The same reasons she has
used for years so we just allow her to talk and encourage her to try.
The weather will turn cold for the next week, especially the night.
I am sure all my seeds are patiently waiting to sprout when it warms up.
Have a blessed Sunday!
