I Will Take Time
I’ll take time, not to look but to see
The beautiful world all around,
Time not just to hear, but to listen
To joyous, harmonious sounds.
I’ll take time to plant my garden,
And to tend it with loving care…
To express my appreciation
For the miracles that I share.
I’ll take time to write, to keep in touch,
To love more, to lead not to push,
To teach, not just tell… to guide, not force,
To be patient, not pressure or rush.
I’ll take time to learn and absorb
The facts, then I’ll take time to try
To understand, not just to know,
To consider the reason why,
I’ll take time to express forgiveness,
To encourage, to show I care…
Time to seek God’s guidance for my life,
Not merely to recite a prayer.
I’ll take time to learn God’s purpose,
Time not just to receive but to give…
To express my innate creativity.
Time, not just to exist, but to live!
By Micky Meyer Mathewson --------Note I think we all need to seek out and find direction in our life, a purpose for living, based on prayer or meditation. Besides seeking my personal goals, I'm giving to charity and seeking to encourage my fellow Sparkers to live with the goal of both obtaining a healthy weight then, as I have, joining a weight maintenance team. Also I'm on one of the teams in the 5% Weight Loss community where teams vie to virtually travel to famous cities in the world (team exercise minutes count as the virtual miles to reach the 8 named cities (1 city per week during the 8 week challenge) and bonus points are given to the first 3 teams to reach their designated 'miles'. Even though I'm at my goal weight as of February 2017, I find that doing the exercise minutes keeps me at my goal weight and the 5% weight loss community challenge is open to weight maintainers as well as those looking to lose weight. Please consider joining the Summer 5% weight loss community as the Spring 5% challenge is now closed.
What ever your goals are, seek to also plant your seeds by giving time and/or money to what ever you feel best improves the world around you. May God bless you, Bob
