Upping the steps

Tuesday, April 13, 2021

I have walked a lot of steps for several days in a row and being very careful with food intake. I hope to see a change in the scale.

Does anyone have a recommendation on shoes. For the past 275 days I have been walking between 3 and 9 miles per day. My ankles are starting to hurt a bit. I think I might need new shoes but they still look fine,.

Shoes are so important and no just "good" shoes but the right shoes for your feet.

I get new ones every 500 miles or 6 months, which ever comes first. Then I move them down to less strenuous duty. Eventually they end up as "boat" or "gardening" shoes

I also use "compression socks" for my old floppy ankles. The ones meant for runners/walkers not the nursing home variety.
