Cleaning and Working and Having a Sleep-over!

Thursday, March 18, 2021

My grandson (2-month old) is coming to spend the night with me tonight! I'm so excited. He is such a cutie. I am going to be watching him on Friday's when momma is working and I'll be having him spend the night on Thursday night's when I have him so DD is guaranteed at least one night a week of good sleep.

His coming is just the motivation I needed to work on my housecleaning. I've started! 2 projects done and about a dozen to go. Then, I can say...my house is clean. It's been awhile. You would think 2 adults living in a house together, there would be no mess. Nope...I guess we are as good as the next guy at leaving things lie and causing a messy home. I am hopeful I will get us squared away and come up with a plan to keep it that way. Thank you, SP friends, for your advice in this area so far. I am taking it all to heart and seeing what I can incorporate that will work for us.

Today is another day of getting a lot of projects done for work as well. So much to do...so little time. Tomorrow, I am going to be off...taking a PTO day to spend with the little man. So, I really need to make today count for work and for my housework. Using the "I think I can" motto for today!

Keep up the good work! Thanks for the encouragement...and advice! Spark on! emoticon emoticon

Oh what a little cutie he is! I can understand your excitement. I loved all the sleepovers with our grandchildren, and they always seemed to have loads of fun, too!

There are two adults only in our house, too; but one might as well be a three-year-old. I could use a helper to follow him around and pick up after him, put things back where they belong, hang up clothes, put dishes in the dishwasher. His mom had 8 kids and I don't think she demanded anything of them.

Oh my, how exciting to have the baby spend the night with you. He is so cute. I would just want to rock and snuggle. I miss my GB being so small. The 3 younger ones are all turning 8 this year.

How wonderful that you get to spend time w/your grandson and finding the motivation to clean. I always find something social motivates me to clean house, but not enough of that during these covid times.

What a beautiful baby! You are a lucky Grandma to know you will be spending one day a week with him. You will always have a special bond because of it. Keep on, keeping on!

Oh, what an adorable baby. I love the outfit.
Reminds me of our grandson#1 That was 26 years ago. Now he celebrates with a Guinness LOL
His mom and entire family are Irish (her parents came from Ireland in the 50s)

2 adults living alone? Our house may be clean enough for the Board of Health, but Better Homes and Gardens? No, we tend to "PUT" things on any available horizontal surface.

Enjoy this time with your grandson. It goes by so fast.

    Awright!

Make today the greatest day of your life
    Until tomorrow!

You must be worthy of the best, but not more worthy than the rest.
