Eccl. 3 ...To everything there is a season and after a month and a half of grief we are ready to learn to laugh and dance again - read that chapter in Bible for your lifting up.
Jan 8th they could not hear a heart beat and on Jan 21 my daughter delivered a tiny, perfectly formed baby - too tiny to tell if boy or girl so she will always be called Vanilla Bean because that is the size she was when they first knew they were pregnant. The greatest grief I have ever known is to hold my daughter as she grieves this loss - and then to finally have our ground thaw enough that on Saturday we laid to rest this tiny baby in the tiny coffin her daddy lovingly built and mama hand sewed a minature soft blanket to cushion. Surrounded by roses and tears, they gently filled the tiny grave and the earlhly work was done. A dear friend and pastor shared a precious devotional and prayer and then we went in to share in a meal ndfellowship and eginning of "new normal " filled with the love and life in their beautiful almost 14 monh old daughter. They stayed the night and attended church before heading back to their home 2.5 hours away.
Today,I begin to think towards taking care of my health again - comfort eating is done and planning routines back into daily life is at the forefront - breakfast was measured, enjoyed and recorded on to the first day of the rest of my life. .
