Maybe some improvement

Saturday, February 27, 2021

I was able to do a 20 minute program on my Golds Stationary bike (got it from my MIL long ago) which felt really good. Right leg did not hurt. Also did 60 minutes strength/yoga. May have done too much but it felt good at the time. I will try to do the bike again today.

I have a Subaru Outback. One day we noticed bird seed in the dome light so my DH investigated and was able to get a lot of bird seed, dog food and cat food out of the header. Obviously we had a mouse. We trapped 3 mice in the garage so we think there are no more. Wednesday we will take it in to the shop to have the rest taken out. They have to take the entire header off. We can't even open the sun roof because of all the food. Just another challenge of living in the country.

Foggy, snowy day. Pine trees are coated in white frost and beautiful.

Today's plan. Go to town at 10 to pick up an order from Alison's pantry, try to finish nt Celtic course and 20 minutes on my bike. Also my 2 pm zoom with my siblings.

Happy Saturday all.

Never thought of an insurance claim. My DH has checked the rest of the car and it seems clear so we are looking at maybe $150 on the header. Thanks for the info though.

Watch the mouse issue . I had a Terrain a couple years ago, found a few signs of a mouse on the floor so put a couple sticky traps down and by the next day caught 3. Thought the problem was over and about two weeks later I was looking in the wheel carriage and discovered at least 10 pounds of dog food . That was the least of it . They got in the hood, map light inside under the carpet and in the doors they even ate my seatbelt almost in half. Car was in the shop for over a month for they had to gut it out. Over $5,000.00 worth of damage. Was very glad our insurance covered some of it. The joys of living in the country.

We have outside cats but they are not allowed in the garage. They do a good job usually but obviously these guys found the garage a safe haven.

Good to hear you're making progress and your leg seems to be getting better!!

We live in the suburbs. We have a vehicle in the garage that hubby is restoring after it was in an accident (30 years ago, but who's counting?). He started it up and a huge amount of birdseed blew out the tailpipe, and kept coming out for 10 minutes! Guess a mouse or chipmunk (we do have plenty of each it seems) decided that was a great place to store food! Haven't started it up in a long time, so who knows if we will find more when we do?
Found evidence of a mouse making a nest in the engine compartment too. No damage to any of the wires/hoses luckily. I think we had less of that happen when we lived in the country, as the outside cats were pretty good at keeping the rodent population in check.
