As I was preparing my breakfast this morning, which for me is eggs and oatmeal in some form every day, I remembered that my Dad had oatmeal and eggs every morning once he found out he had diabetes. I've been a diagnosed diabetic for over 20 years, but Dad didn't have it until he was much older in life and had become overweight. Our memories are what makes our lives definable. It's what also teaches us.

I pretty much have the same meal every day for breakfast and I don't tire of oatmeal with raisins and 1 whole wheat toast.

I too have been seeing myself eat or drink certain things as I get older that remind me of loved ones. Also I see that my health circumstances have come to mirror my fathers later in his life as well. Love your post this morning
