Giving myself some credit for little steps in healthy direction

For starters, yay me.... for writing down (be it sloppy) a list "To Do" from which I am scratching off items. Included in that list was: logging into SP, type an SP blog entry, do laundry, complete order from Amazon, pay bill for lesson.
Perspective: I was going to strive to write a list of at least 3 "to do" items, finish and then check those items off each day. The SP "task list" from which I gain Spark points is motivating and helpful to me. Just getting to the computer to Spin the Wheel for Spark points helps.. I see on my task list other things to do.
Second, I asked my spouse to let me order an expansion to a game we are playing instead of having him buy me a basket of candy from local chocolatier. We agreed and I made the online purchase. Yay me for setting myself up for a better chance of eating healthy snack the week or two and not eating a lot of Valentine's candy.
Perspective: I have not kept up on my Nutrition Tracking the past week or two. And there have been plenty of sweets I should have tracked.
Thirdly, I have attended the first five of nine Friday evening webinars in preparation for a mid-March online harp workshop. Keeping consistent on my attendance is an accomplishment for me. Being much more consistent with my music practice is a second accomplishment. I have enjoyed both the prep work and the connection with other musicians (some of which are from Japan and Australia.)
Perspective: Several times I have written the goal to tune my harp first thing in the morning. There have been other small goals about scales and structured practice. Idea: attach these little goals to a performance goal even if it is just an audio or video recording for myself?
Fourthly, yay me! I have averaged 3 times a week chair yoga. I will pat myself and my yoga buddies on the back more in a separate blog. I am so proud of our little Zoom group.
Perspective: In the long run I can imagine developing my own yoga practice, one that I engage in at least once a day. I want a practice that supports health, well being, flexibility, strength, mindfulness...all aspects of my life...in a positive way.
Fifthly, yay spouse and I. We got out and walked several times this past 3 weeks. Sometimes the goal was to get some sunshine, but then we would reap other benefits...like focusing on each other (instead of TV or a game).
So here is to all our health and well-being Sparkers. Stay on the journey.
