Welcome February

It's the shortest month that sometimes feels like the longest. This quote about this month.... “February is the border between winter and spring.” ― Terri Guillemets... is lightening my mood.

There are 47 days till spring so I'm working on springing into action, working on new habits, new ways to go about my days and evenings.

We got over 10 inches of snow in the last two days so yesterday I took a break from homework and went for a snowy walk. It was beautiful and challenging. It was only one mile but I was sweaty when I got back home. There were a few stretches that had not been shoveled so walking through snow halfway up my shins was a challenge, but I found I was smiling.

When I got home, I continued to let my inner child play by making a snow angel in the yard and a smiley face on the patio table.

I'm getting back to my habit of sun salutations every morning before I turn on the news. I was up very late last night stressing over homework so here I sit, with the news on, my coffee while blogging.


Okay, so starting now! February 1st is National Get Up day. It follows National Skate month. Skaters have to get up every time they fall so it's a good reminder for all of us to get back up despite challenges, heartaches, and self-doubt.

Bring out your inner child and think of a small healthy habit that you can work on every day for the next 47 days.
