Interesting hat

This was one that I needed something to take my mind off other things that I should be doing but it was the only pattern in a book that I liked as I was sorting books. I stopped, found yarn and started the hat. Once it is finished it will be out of my system - the book is already out of the house.


I am about 1.5" from the crown shaping. The pattern is to be knitted flat and seamed but I changed it for knitting in the round so I will need to do a bit more pattern changing as I get to the crown. Perhaps, after my three days away from home I will have it done. I seem to get more done when I am not at home. "Oh Look! A Chicken!" and I am off in another direction.
