Another failed attempt

. Our bird feeder did not draw one bird, but every squirrel in our neighborhood. Last night we couldn’t sleep because we kept hearing a noise from somewhere. This morning we have another project. First to get a life trap to catch the pest and now replace our decking this spring.

We went through similar challenges with our bird feeder and fluffy tailed rodents. I echo the idea of a squirrel-proof feeder. Best of luck - I love watching the birds that come to our feeder. It'll take them a while to get used to it and come to it (maybe as much as a few weeks). emoticon emoticon

We too have squirrels. But I did find a squirrel proof bird feeder. Also, the live traps work and then you can relocate your squirrel. Our problem was that another squirrel took over the territory, so now we just live with the squirrel. At least our squirrels are cute.

My eyes are not what they used to be. The photo is too dark for me to tell what is showing. SOmeone recently told me about a bird feeder that looks like a bird cage and squirrels are not supposed to be able to get into it. WHo knows. they are determined little pests. emoticon

Oh no! We had problems with squirrels raiding the bird feeder, but nothing like this. So sorry.
