just sayin’ … do you feel ... frisky???

Tuesday, January 12, 2021

I got in my walk yesterday … thank goodness for treadmills. Remember, I’m allergic to chilly, cold, windy days !!! I want to get my 5x a week exercising practice going in the right direction in 2021.

At the risk of sounding like a doctor shopper … I will be going to a doc at the end of the month that I saw a year plus ago and didn’t give her a good chance. I come with “issues”. Hypothyroidism. And an attitude. No, I won’t switch meds … I like Armour Thyroid. No, I won’t just look at lab work TSH … you need to look at more for me. Yes, I know I have to pay out of pocket for additional thyroid test. Dr K … well, I recently read the notes she put in my chart. WOW. She seemed to understand I don’t convert T4 to T3 easily if at all … though she didn’t verbalize that to me. Armour Thyroid meds provides T3. But Dr K … well, ummm, ya see … she weighs 400 pounds. NO kidding. How was I suppose to take guidance from someone who obviously doesn’t take her own advice??? Hmmm … well, ummm, ya see … I don’t either. So, we’ll see how it goes.

Current Doc J wants to look only at my TSH which is 1.04 and wants to lower my meds … he wants my TSH at 2.0 at least if not higher while my Free T3 and Total T3 barely make the low end of the range. I am sooooo over arguing every 3 months and my scripts being delayed, submitted to the wrong pharmacy and once the wrong drug was order. And then the front office can’t get my bill correct. Geeeze.

More exerts from Steve #91:

Fat people don’t connect fitness with sexual energy.
Fit people know sexual energy increases through fitness.

If you are fat and disgusted with yourself every time you look in the mirror, the last thing on your mind is … sex.

There’s nothing like getting in tune with your body. Your increased energy, vitality and self-esteem will positively impact your love life on every level.

Critical Thinking Question: How much pleasure are you sacrificing in your sex life because you’re fat???

Action Step: Let go of the delusion that being fat isn’t hurting your sex life. Fat is a major turn-off, and being fat reduces your sex drive and inhibits your performance.

Well, shut my mouth!!!

For those of us who are still … active … I have to admit I am more … “frisky” when thinner.

Is it coz of the clean eating and exercise ... so my well being is in place??? Or just the fact that I know I am taking care of my self so I want more out of … life???

‘nough said !!!

Just do it … already.

Change your mind … and the rest WILL follow.

**Within this blog is my longwinded thoughts based on my reading and humble understanding of from Steve Siebold’s Die Fat or Get Tough and years and years and years of searching for thinness and … self-peace.

Oh that Steve -- he really lays it on the line (so to speak). And: how could he be wrong?

Here's hoping for an equally candid conversation with your doctor on the thyroid issues!

I think you are right on the mark about your doctors. Nothing worse than a doc who won't listen to you - who else knows you better than yourself - right?!

Oh I hear the song you're singing about your thyroid levels and medication. I feel like I had to go through extreme hoops to get what i know my body needs . . . but I got it and now my Dr. listens. Good luck to you.

Steve lays it on the line, doesn't he? Just says it right out loud, that some of us (especially us ladies) were taught to "euphemize". Seriously, I have noticed the connection between fitness, achievement and... ummm... yeah, you said it!

Good luck finding the right balance with your Doc!

It is GOOD to understand your issues and the numerical values attached to those tests.
My cardiologist likes to tell me my test results are "fine". After a stare-down from me he hands over the numbers.

I may have fat prejudice for health care workers but no way I could take a severely obese doctor’s advice seriously.
Btw, when I had to get a new doc I did not like her the first few times I saw her but I was too lazy to keep looking and now I really like her.

Good for you for standing up for what you want with your health and a doctor!

Love your shared image of the cat versus the tiger.

Definitely when you are lighter you have more energy, and so probably more frisky because it isn't sunh an "effort"? Hoping the new doctor is better for you. Love the photo.
