Making progress and plans

The year has started off well. I am actively trying to lose weight now as opposed to just hoping I weigh less...it IS different! LOL
Our NEW YEAR fitness challenge this week for the BL Winter Warrriors is to basically do some planning and reflecting on the year ahead. I plan to lose 6-7 pounds before the end of the 5% challenge which ends after the BL challenge. I know I can do this. Then my goal for December 31, 2021 is that I keep it off.
I have been concentrating on doing the 16:8 IF for the past week or two. I don't think there is anything magical about it, other than, I am consuming less calories at the beginning and the end of my day. I don't know if I will stick with this plan forever, but for now, it seems to be working for me. I really have been burnt out on tracking my foods so I am trying to focus on healthy foods and healthy servings. Basically, I am eating 2 meals a day and 1-2 lighter snacks. And though I am not officially tracking my foods right now, I am mindful of all the things I have learned over the past several years.
2 challenges at once will be...well...challenging. I'm going to give it my best because they seem to work well together.
