21 Day Tame the Sweet Tooth Challenge

Today I am happy to announce that I lost 1.2 pounds last week. I joined the 21 Day Tame the Sweet Tooth Challenge and am working on that program.

I have learned that I got into the habit of grabbing sweets before bedtime and now I am craving them about 30 minutes before bed time. I am working on finding a good substitute that doesn't keep me awake at night. So far, I have just powered through the cravings by listening to short meditations and preparing for bed. Last night though, I caved and ate three mini candy bars. Today, on my grocery list, I added some snack fruit cups in water and with no extra sugar and I read the label first. My thought is that a nice cold fruit cup may be a good substitute for those candy cravings.

Today, I am packing up all the candy and taking it to my classroom for my kiddos.

In the meantime, one slip doesn't ruin my journey. I will just keep working my program knowing that this has to be my focus for a bit.
