This week's Biggest Loser Fitness Challenge is too good not to share! We're using the acrostic, NEW YOU to set goals for the year

N - Never give up! Develop a fitness plan.
E - Evaluate what has worked for you and what has not. Do you need to adjust your plan?
W - Weigh in! What is your goal weight for December 31, 2021? Is it achievable? Put this goal weight somewhere you will see it every day.
Y - You are in charge! Only you can make the changes! Visualize yourself using your new fitness plan to help renew your commitment.
O - Organize! Clean up your work out area. Check out exercise options available to you. Plan and adjust your plan! It is a new year, be ready!
U – Utilize your support system. Post your plans in the chat or blog. Let people know how to support you!

At first, it seemed like a very cerebral activity. But once I got started, I was rarely sitting on my duff.

The new year is perfect for developing or even purchasing a new fitness plan. I surfed to my favorite YouTube trainer's website and got sidetracked by her blog post about Plantar Fasciitis - a painful foot condition I've been dealing with for the past year.


After reading the article, I realized I could use some of my Christmas cash to purchase the workout program she recommended. Since I've enjoyed some of Jessica Smith's other fitness programs, I downloaded her Walk STRONG 6 Week Total Transformation System and committed to using it for the rest of the Winter Warrior Challenge.

The W of NEW YOU took me to the BMI calculator on SP.

After entering my current weight, I could see right where I stood. That number in the middle seemed like a reasonable goal to reach for by the end of 2021. My magic number this year is 136!

To reach that goal, I need space to work out. I closed my eyes for a minute and imagined myself in the front room of my house each morning, following Jessica's cues as I exercised.

Thankfully, I had put away the Christmas tree that day, so the room was wide open.
After vacuuming the area, I'd be good to go!

The next morning, even though I slept in, I was eager to start the Cardio Party. It was fun! This morning, however, my muscles were still sore from Wednesday's strength workout. Determined to keep my commitment, I decided to press through anyway. What a great sense of accomplishment when I reached the end of the Total Body Training! Tomorrow's workout, Brain Fitness Fun, sounds intriguing.

The final letter of the NEW YOU acrostic brought me to my blog. I'm looking to U for support and accountability as I follow the plan and reach for my goal in 2021.
