Sugar Cravings and Protein Deficiency

I heard some medical person on the radio last night say that sugar cravings should be considered protein deficiency. I did some research this morning and found that there are different nutrient deficiencies that might be responsible for sugar cravings. I DO notice that my intake of more protein makes it easier to deal with sugar. I've begun dropping the few lbs gained over the holidays, largely due to reducing carbs and eliminating sugary treats.

The mystery of the scales has been solved. I wrote about a new scale registering a lot differently. Well, I had read it in semi-darkness and misread the number 3 for it being 8. So I thought it was a 7 lb difference from the old scale. Yikes. But as some of you reminded me, don't put too much weight (get it) on a number. This is my 12th year on SP, so I should know that by now. I am now almost back to my pre-holiday weight and can proceed happily. I'm writing this blog at 5 a.m. so I hope it makes some sense.
