Very Frustrated!

I know that government leaders everywhere are doing the best they can, and I know there are conflicting demands being presented to them. Reduce pandemic deaths or keep small businesses from going bankrupt... is it possible to do both at the same time?

And then there are people who don’t believe in the disease... others who don’t believe in the vaccine... and still others who don’t believe they will get it, so go wherever they want, gather in too-large groups and end up spreading it.

There was an example in Ontario 2 weeks ago... an indoor birthday party with 22 people invited. So far there have been 13 new cases of Covid from that one party, including children age 3 and 5 years (gee... I guess they didn’t believe children could get Covid).

We NEED to go into lockdown. The Premier is stalling... there have been over 2200 new cases of Covid every day for a week, and deaths in Ontario are now over 4200. We have to do something to slow down the spread of this disease until enough people have been vaccinated... maybe by June?... that we can go back to a relatively normal life.

    It’s definitely very scary. Both things will happen - people will catch it and businesses will suffer, but big parties!!! Not necessary at all.

    I so agree with you!
    Just lock everything down and we will deal with the failed businesses later...people’s lives are at stake!
    My niece and her entire family (all 6 of them) are positive...feeling not too bad so far...her hubby brought it home from work.

    Sadly, we will always have those people who have little to no concern for anyone other than themselves, and sometimes they do not even value themselves.

    We should have closed down when we knew of the virus. Just think where we would be now? US citizens weren't even told of the virus until months after it was spreading.

    As for the people who do whatever they want no matter who it hurts ....................they should all be put on ships and sent out to sea. They can be with like-minded people without spreading it to the people who are attempting to stay well. I will NEVER understand people who do not think of others.

    Gail, I hear you and I feel your frustration. Lockdown is mandatory at this point. Lives over money. People need to figure it out, or keep dying and/or killing others.
    I have very extreme views on it...total and complete.lockdown. Close restaurants, bars, salons, gyms. Hand out harsh penalties and jail time for people going against mask mandates. And make the vaccine mandatory.
    Play hard ball with the selfish lunatics. Rule with an iron fist until the virus has been squashed. Period.

    Its simple. Wear masks, socially distance and keep healthy hygiene. Its like everything else if we dont want to do what it takes to be healthy we wont be healthy. Sadly, its selfish and foolish attitudes by a few that is always making it tough on those who are willing to pay the price.

    We cant stop them but we can make sure we do what we are supposed to and avoid anything that results in our possibly being exposed.

    But selfishness usually wins out. Human nature. Way to many people who feel they are the exception

    The countries that have done well, even very well have all had excellent conplience with masks, social distancing, heighten hygiene, contact tracing based on frequent frequent large scale testing.
