I guess I could wait until January 1st to start, but to be honest, I realize that I could do a whole lot more damage by then! Plus, I just don’t feel good, my clothing is snug and I hate seeing pictures of myself right now. So it’s time. I’m not up that much really - just six pounds above my “weight watchers goal weight”, so for now I’m going to focus on that and then see how I feel. I’m a short girl, so six pounds is a lot for me. And it’s all in my waist! Not good, considering my family’s history of diabetes and heart disease.
I’m committing to calorie counting instead of points at least for the month of December. I’m finding that being the “grazer” that I am, I eat a lot of “zero point foods” like fruit and it really adds up.
I’ve always been good about exercising. I do cardio 4x a week and strength 2 to 3x a week. I probably should do more of the strength training to build more muscle.
So to start, I’m just tracking my calories to see where I’m at. And working on getting my water in. I’ll try to add more healthy habits in bit by bit.
