A year and a month since my last blog...

What the heck have I been up to for a year and a month, that I haven't bothered to blog?
Well, I have been Sparking, on and off, and I did post here and there in the groups, I just haven't blogged. So why now? To be honest, the new BLC Winter Warriors challenge started on Thursday, and I thought it would be a good idea to show some consistency, and blogging regularly will help with that.
What better way than to do one extra long update to cover the past year and one month, and then my regular blogs will be short, and hopefully sweet.
I'll start off where I left off...
I did continue to work on polymer clay. I made beads that I planned to donate to Beads of Courage, I made more baby flower fairies, I made some fairy doors, fairy houses with small jars, Christmas keychains, and then I tried to make what they call "canes" and I made a trivet out of the canes.
Then the whole COVID thing happened, and on March 16 we got a call from our managers at work, and we were told that we would have to work from home until further notice. So I set up at temporary office at the kitchen table, and worked from home.
On July 14, I had to put my boy Zeus down. He was a little over 8 years old, he had cancer, and could no longer walk or eat. We miss him dearly.
By the end of July they confirmed that we would be working from home indeterminately, and we were to go to the office (make an appointment) and pick up all of our personal belongings, along with our chairs, monitors, keyboard, mouse, and anything else we needed to perform our duties from home. So I set up my spare bedroom (formerly Zeus' room) as my home office.
I sold my bike in August (I've had it since 2002).
Found out my friend, who is a boy, but he's not my boyfriend, who I relied on to drive me around to pick up groceries, etc, was being posted out of town, so in October I bought a used car. Nothing fancy -- in fact, it's 18 years old, but it's in good condition, and it's perfect for getting me to the grocery store and back.
At the end of November I found a practically new Cricut for a really good price, so I bought it, and now that I've picked up supplies, I've been working on some small projects so i can learn how to use it.
In between all of that I did manage to get some decluttering done.
Can't complain, life has been good, regardless of the pandemic that's kept me in my house and only going out for essentials since March.
