Back on the wagon again

Been awhile but fell off the wagon and gained 43lbs. Lots of changes if my life since my last blog. Dad is on hospice now. He has been my rock for so long. It is hard to see the shadow of what he once was. My childhood friend, Michael, is moving into my basement after he completes the remodel into his dream home. We are updating all the plumbing, electric and HVAC for the whole house along the way. He is helping me with the new food plan. We are doing Keto and so far I lost 8lbs in one week. I have not had carb cravings or any crankiness that I know of. I have not eaten off plan at all and only had a minor temptation or two. The low carb plan definitely works for me and he is awesome in kitchen. We spend lots of time searching and trying new keto foods. So far this is an easy plan to stick too. I have saved money not buying junk and not hitting the vending machines. My employment changed again. I am now working per diem but am assured I have the fulltime position I wanted and so will be getting benefits soon. The new position is 3p to 3a and surprisingly an excellent fit. Since Michael is retired and has no schedule he tries to sleep on my schedule. It is working out well and better than any relation I have ever been in. The mutual respect is key and not having a romance component to complicate things. My daughter is in AL visiting her dad for a month or so and I plan to repair her room while she is gone. It will be my office when she finally moves out.
