Need to remember for the future when I want to slack

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Getting back in a work out routine is hard on my anxiety. It's really weird how it works. When I start a workout routine my anxiety flares on the workout "high." After several days of consistency that will stop and my anxiety will just about go away completely.

So this morning is rough. I did some cardio and thought I was fine but now for the last 45m my anxiety has been on a roller coaster.

I need to remember these things when I think I can skimp and not do what I committed myself to do.

That really sucks. I'm sorry to hear that. I guess I do the 'sneak attack' workout a lot.. I leave for a walk with the dog and end up jogging some with him. I also have been watching a show while speed walking on the treadmill some days. The show helps keep me distracted. I hope you are feeling better now and that tomorrow will be a better day. Remember in the end it is going to be worth it. Hugs to you.

I get anxious when I start a new exercise. I worry about injuries. I start slow and work up which lessens my anxiety. I love to do more at first but this usually ends up in some negative impact like an injury. I have had injuries in the past so I have learned to monitor my exercise. Like yesterday I had a tremendous workout and no anxiety. COVID and isolation and Holidays are stressful times. Give you a break - you are doing the best you can at this time. have a good day! emoticon
