My first telltale sign was my toes felt like they were falling asleep. Also I would get these huge painful infections under my arm. One grew to the size of a tennis ball, when it was lanced I couldn't stand the putrid odor.
Day 14 Dr Banting Appreciation (WDD)
November 14th is chosen as the World Diabetes Day because it is the birthday of Dr. Frederick Banting who in 1922, along with Charles Best, discovered insulin. Sir Frederick Grant Banting was a Canadian medical scientist, physician, painter, and Nobel laureate. He saved the lives of many. Before their discovery, diabetes was a death sentence.
