The best/worst thing about losing weight is buying a whole new wardrobe. I've finally gotten small enough that my old stuff just doesn't fit anymore (even with belts), so I've had to get new jeans, a smaller coat, and new workout clothes. While spending the money kind of sucks (knowing that I will probably not be able to wear any of this stuff by next fall), I do so enjoy the actual act of shopping, lol
I got some FLEECE-LINED leggings that are super warm, which I plan to wear under my active leggings when I go for walks. I've never been a cold-weather-outdoor-exerciser until this year, so this is uncharted territory for me. We went today at 39 degrees, and these leggings were super warm and comfy. . . so I think I can keep doing it at least until it gets icy. I also got a nice fleece hoodie that I can layer with another jacket or workout shirts. I REALLY love this hoodie... probably more than I've loved any other hoodie ever (check it out: www.torrid.com/p
My husband heard me complaining about how I don't own a sports bra and BOUGHT ME ONE for my birthday (yay!). Now I can do my training sessions without constantly adjusting or ruining an underwire bra :)
I bought all of these things a size smaller than I wore like 2 months ago (which is another size smaller than I was wearing at the beginning of the year), thinking that if some of them were a bit tight, I could use them as motivation . . . welp. It all fits. All of it. and some of it is even a little bit big on me. I think I need to seriously re-asses my self-image. Things have just been progressing so quickly for me lately. It's not bad . . . it will just take a bit of time for my brain to adjust.
Soon I will need new underwear, bras, and shirts. I have no work wardrobe; luckily I'm working from home due to covid, so comfy fleece leggings can be my work wardrobe for now!
