Trying to get to the next chapter of my life, in better shape!

Well, this is me--this morning, texting son#1 , who is already at work in the Sault--
It was 6am---We were both up and well into our day--

I did step on the scales earlier, and the scales are moving DOWN--- a couple of pounds, but at least it is in the right direction.
I am on this kick now--- the alarm goes off at 6am--- I get up and fast as I can, before giving it too much thought--- like, "why me?"---It is REALLY dark---

I do what I have to do for myself, and Sushi , the wee cat who came in from the cold
-then, take the 2 Germans downstairs (as in dogs)- feed them-change their water---
-get the wash in, ---and by that time Himself is up, and, comes down, I can help him put his ears in--

AND THE WHOLE ROUTINE IS WORKING! --because, I have time to hop on the Treadmill too-_in the dark!----- like--what else can one do in the dark ?-----

Tess , the older German, (as in dog)-is waiting to have her walk ------
Yesterday I had to bring up all my heavy duty Parkas. It was about minus 6C outside yesterday --COLD!---
I felt like Nanuk of the North! --
But --yu know, my steps at the end of the day were almost 5000--

How many years have I been doing this?--I mean, the ups and the downs of body weight--
Lord love a duck!----if I ever quit, my weight would just zoom out of control---
I do keep hoping that when Queen Elizabeth does call me, the ol' body might have some sort of shape---

If any of you need a Parka, I do have extra.
Himself says it's minus 10C outside, right now!

and--I am trying to start the next chapter---

I usually cross the the "Soo" when entering Canada. Too bad the border has been closed due to COVID. Did not get to visit our family property in Ontario this Summer.

I don't want to think about having snow.

I do not get on my scales very often, it makes me depressed because it doesn't seem to move...lol

    Have a great Saturday

I love that last little poster! And I am glad that we Americans use Fahrenheit. There is a psychological effect to having to say it is minus-something out, and we don't get there as quickly as you do. Somehow, having to say that just makes it FEEL colder!

It's starting to get cold here, too. I have broken out the old space heater. If I keep warm, I can get so much more done.

I have also started the routine of getting up at 0600 and jumping on my exercise bike (I don't have a dreadmil).. We are beginning to have some nice cooler weather in North Central Florida. I just love it,. I have my warm clothing and my jackets all ready. We may only have a few days or a couple weeks of the cool stuff before it starts getting hot again.

Hope you are able to relax a bit later today.

It's so hard to wake up (without an alarm) when it's dark or cloudy! Good for you for popping up!

You've got this! You're in a great routine.

I just took our dog out for her next to the last time tonight. She usually has to go out about 9:00 p.m. before she goes upstairs with DH. I came in and told DH how much I dislike having to go out in the dark at night in the winter when it's freezing out. It feels so cold and she has to sniff every blade of grass in our yard before she finally finds the perfect spot. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We set our clocks back tomorrow night. Do you?

Good for you for having a morning routine. I'm not a morning person, but since October 5th, I have had to get up much earlier than I did because I need to be out of the house early to babysit my grandson at his place. Congratulations on your weight slowly going down. That is the right direction for it to go, even if it is slow.

Have to admit that I'm not an early riser---one of those night owl type people. My blood pressure has risen due to extreme stress (family related--not from my DH or 3 angel dogs). So I'm trying to play it cool. I'll admire you from afar as I roll out of bed around 9am and then do my physical therapy exercises.

Great schedule and it is working for you. And himself is still wearing his ears that is great!!!

Boy is it cold in your neck of the woods. I will take my 40 and 50's at night of course that will go lower the closer we get to winter. And today our forecast said rain and it was very cloudy this morning but the sun is shining now. And I will take it.

Have a great day. If I am right it is Friday so I hope everyone has a restful week-end. For those in the USA don't forget to change your clocks Halloween night. We FALL back this time. Really wish we would just alll stay at Standard time!!!

You really do get the day off to a good start.
I saw yesterday where several of your followers mentioned they did not get notification of your blog. Today I didn't get one. I think SP is having some problems.
We've cooled down to near 80 and actually had door open this morning when overnight temp went into 70's.

You make my day and I am trying to follow in your footsteps tho I walk in the house til I get to 5 or 6000, once in awhile to 7000. I put my exercise short pants under my sweat pants, work for underwesr too, planning to do a few exercise but have been totally busy in the house. we are having family over for Halloween, same family we are always with so i emptied both fridges and fed the ravens and wish they would come and do my dishes now!! I had other things to do too. I always remember what Robin's husband used to say: women are made for rubbin" and scrubbin" and I have to ask her what the other have was for men. Her hubby has passed too and he was a lot of fun, big joker.
Off to my dishes and rubbin' and scrubbin' I told Robin I don't want to see any chicken or turkey or big pans for awhile!!
The sun is shining in my eyes in here, been a long time since we saw it but forecasts are for 40s and 50s, maybe can finish some outside work before it turns again. emoticon I am still weighing 8 pounds up and can't get it to move!! Is it the scale or me??

Losing the pounds is just great. I am truly happy for you. That is your payment for being so very good to yourself.
It is really cold here in NY suburbs. We had lots of rain and snow flurries that stuck on the grass and car. I know the roads must have been slippery. I hope everyone that had to leave their homes drove safely.

Getting up early in the dark is zero fun, so kudos to you. emoticon

I took out my winter coat out of storage on Tuesday. Now it’s supposed to be above normal temps next week. We’ve had November temps in October. Wouldn’t it be lovely if November temps were October temps! What will be, will be. No point stressing about it as that changes nothing but making me crankier! Got sunshine today. Grateful for it, now if only it would stick around longer than one day! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Before retirement, my hubby and I would get up early and go to the gym to work out at 5:15 am before work. After retirement, we started going beween 7:30 and 8:00 am. emoticon

And now I do not go to the gym at all because of COVID - I was going for yoga, which I really enjoyed! emoticon

I have two llittle kittens that I have adopted. emoticon emoticon They think I should get up every morning at 6:30am. I have been trying to get them to let me sleep until 7:00am. hahaha! So I get up, feed them, and lo and behold, they go back to bed! emoticon

But I am wide awake! Oh well, it gives me some nice quiet moments for my daily scripture reading and prayers! emoticon

I started this morning (on my day off) judging a pumpkin decorating contest for a local staffing agency. It was hard they all did just a great job!.

I didn't need to leave the house - they sent pictures.

Just finished giving Rupert (as in dog) a bath.

    Now for relaxing.

    Happy Friday!!
Ack...I was up at 3:45 this morning. Don't ask me why except maybe to let MY dog out. It was 30 degrees here this morning at that time.
I'd wanted to go back to bed, but DH needed to get up for work at 4:00 so I made his coffee for him. It's the least I could do. Haven't been sleeping well anyway. Maybe tonight I'll be able to do so.
The snow we had on Monday has all melted. The temperatures getting up into the lower 50s.
You mention starting a new chapter. I'm wondering what you are referring to, if I may ask? Or is it just a play on words? emoticon
