I did get out for a short walk, in the falling temperatures, once daylight hit.
We are about to enter a "Winter Weather Advisory", starting in about half an hour, lasting into tomorrow.
Before daylight hit, I made one last grocery pick up trip, and I'm set to hunker down for a reason OTHER than the virus, if needed. But seriously, this storm is only predicted to drop 2 to 5 inches of white stuff, locally. To our north and west, the prediction is higher.
We're all praying for high snowfall amounts for Colorado. I haven't been to the trainer since March, but one of the ladies who had adjacent appointments to me has. We became Facebook friends in the process of the pandemic, so at least I get news. She has a vacation home in Grand Lake, Colorado, and she was posting prayer requests on Facebook, and did not know the status of their home, amid the Troublesome (yes, that's its name) Fire. I'm hoping for good news, when all's safe enough for people to check.
Anyway, it promises to be a quiet day. I have that turkey chili (the dinner that keeps on keeping on) in a crock on the counter. I had a wonderful omelet for breakfast, the chili will provide lunch, and I'm thinking of something to heat in the oven to warm the house for dinner time.
The 5% Fall challenge has us using 9 inch plates as part of the "living the good life" points this week. That's a no brainer around here, as I got rid of the bigger plates in the great "stuff" purge when I retired. The little plates are quite big enough for a satisfying and nourishing meal!
Here's hoping my fellow Sparkers are doing what they CAN this one and only Sunday, October 25, 2020 we will ever get... to nurture your immune systems, to avoid the three C's (closed in / confined spaces, crowded places, and close contacts) and to practice the three W's (wash hands, wear a mask, watch your distance)... so as to survive and thrive through the "dark" months when it's cold outside!
