2020 Fall 5% Challenge - Weeks 2 and 3

As motivation to increase the duration and intensity of my workouts, I decided to follow a 12-week training program to run/walk a half marathon. I started before the fall challenge began, and I'm on week 5.

I don't know if and when there will be an actual, in-person half marathon, safely and physically distanced, but it's a reason to train hard and HOPE.

At 62, I know that recovery days are as important as training days, so I'm not pushing on my non-running days. Nevertheless, I'm quite please with my last two "long run" workouts which I completed in some strong head winds.

This training plan is really motivating me to track my nutrition and water, as well as stay consistent with the schedule, even when the weather is less than agreeable.

It's too easy to stay in my comfortable exercise routine and this is pushing me. Intensity will help me break through my weight plateau.
